What is the 3ssential?

The 3ssential is a statewide campaign designed to provide a helpful roadmap for K-12 LEAs to lay a foundation for safe, responsible, effective GenAI implementation. The 3ssential originated from the 3-in-3 Challenge issued by the AZ Institute for Education and the Economy and has transitioned into a broader campaign led by the AZ AI Alliance.

What are the 3 essential AI tasks?

Each of the essential tasks serve an important role in AI implementation.

Why should LEAs complete the 3ssential?

While generative AI offers incredible opportunities for K-12 education, all new technologies have the potential to create additional challenges and even cause harm if not implemented responsibly and effectively. By completing the 3 essential tasks, LEAs take an important step in mitigating harm and laying a foundation for change that will positively impact students, teachers, and the community.
